Watch for Van Harten Surveying Inc. on an upcoming episode of 'Holmes on Homes' airing on HGTV in the new year!  Van Harten provided engineering consultation services to the Holmes on Homes Show to obtain approval from the City of Burlington for the installation of a new aerobic sewage treatment system at a rural property in Kilbride.  The episode is based on a contractor abandoning a house addition project part-way through construction shortly after the death of a child in the family.

Van Harten Surveying teams up with Land Survey Records

Since starting our practice in 1962, Van Harten Surveying has produced thousands of plans.  Current plans are all created digitally, but the older plans were all done on paper and mylar and the originals stored in cabinets in the basement.  Now those old plans are all being scanned and stored on a website where they can be retrieved from anywhere.  Anyone can search for and download a survey of a property.  We are in the early stages now, but check out www.landsurveyrecords.com on a regular basis to see what you can find.
